Bluebonnet’s summer sessions are fun-filled with science experiments, cooking, music, conversational Spanish, creative activities and many other opportunities for children to expand their awareness of the world. Days at Bluebonnet will be full and exciting with field sports on our spacious playing fields and playground time on our exciting playscapes. Cool and fun times will be had at Bluebonnet’s on-site pool and waterpark.

Traveling the World
June 6-June 17.
(2 Weeks. Full Payment Due May 1.)
Learn about different eco-systems around the world, from the dry Mojave Desert, to the cold Arctic Circle and the wet rain forests. We’ll learn about the different rocks that make up this big planet and fossils left behind which tell a story about our history. A first-hand view will be our field trip to LCRA’s McKinney Roughs park.
Fins, Feathers & Furs
June 20-July 1.

Calling all adventurers! Come and learn about the world’s most interesting creatures. Did you know that a polar bear actually has black skin under his white fur? It’s true! Join us to learn more of these fascinating facts to share with your friends and family. We will go on our own adventure over land and water with Austin Duck Adventures.You don’t want to miss this splashing good time!
Treasure Island
July 5-July 22.
(3 Weeks. July 4 is a holiday. Full Payment Due June 1.)
Ahoy Maties! Grab your pirate hat and join us on a sea journey to find hidden caves and buried treasure. You will learn about life aboard a ship in the old days and how pirates navigated the deep blue seas with the help of stars by using a sextant. We’ll study the seven oceans and what is lurking below. Get ready to participate in your own treasure hunt as we introduce you to Geocaching.
The Extraterrestrial
July 25 - August 5.
(2 Weeks. Full Payment Due June 1.)
It’s time to leave earth and travel the galaxy and beyond. On our way we’ll make some stops to explore the planets, stars and constellations to discover what inhabits these mysterious places. We will see the first man to land on the moon and enjoy some astronaut treats. That’s not all; we’ll come back down to earth, way down into the earth’s inner core. We will study how stagmites and stalactites are formed with a trip to Inner Space Caverns.
Magic Time Machine
August 8 - August 19.
(2 Weeks. Full Payment Due July 1.)
Are you ready for a wild ride? We just finished our time machine and it’s time to try it out. We will start in the fifties for root beer floats and rock ‘n roll. From there we’ll fast foward to the seventies and strap on our roller skates because we are going to Playland Skate Park for a seventies skate party! Then we’ll turn the clock forward to the future and let you predict what transportation, fashion and lifestyles will be like in the year 2070.
