Bluebonnet After School Program
Bluebonnet's after school program is a fun and well-deserved break from school. After a quick bus ride from their school, the students are immediately served a delicious, nutritious snack before they head off to enjoy outdoor activities with friends. Kids from different schools make new friends and budding relationships often grow into friends for life. Homework is also a priority during our after school program and the kids will have designated time to work on homework with our staff supervising and assisting with tasks.
Regular activities each afternoon include supervised time on our playground, time in the pool or at the splash pad (weather permitting), time spent working on art and science projects, cooking projects, playing soccer games and free play time.
Children are picked up after school at nearby elementary schools by our buses equipped with factory-installed, 3-point child-sized seat belts. The specific elementary schools we serve vary slightly each year so please check with the head of school to determine which schools are currently being served. Full-day activities and exciting field trips are available during spring break and elementary school teacher training days.

Fun and Educational Program. Summer is a time for children to have fun and enjoy outside activities, but we also believe that youngsters want to use their brains to think, learn and solve mysteries. The Bluebonnet STEAM Summer Camp is filled with fun brain-stretching activities with a focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) and is designed to strengthen a child’s skills in these specialty areas. Children who have finished kindergarten through fourth grade are welcome.
Our summer day camp provides meals, field trips & topics such as coding, cooking, arts & sports, as well as water play on the splash pad & pool. Field trips, lunches and snacks are included in the weekly fee. Check out the registration form to learn how you can get a free week of camp.
Come for a Week or All Summer. Campers will explore six very exciting topics, two weeks in length, each providing a unique environment. Throughout the weeks campers will have the opportunity to solve mysteries, go on field trips, create an invention, plan and cook a meal, go to a live play, build tools, set up experiments and build unique structures. Topics are two weeks in length, but, for family convenience, individual weeks may be selected.
Water Activities on Site. New campers are given a water safety class and a swim test prior to being approved for swimming in the pool. If they are not a strong swimmer, Bluebonnet staff will suggest they take advantage of our waterpark. This is a large splash pad full of fun water events and many children actually prefer it to the pool.
Certified professionals from SafeSplash Swim School will hold swim lessons in the Bluebonnet pool for Cedar Park campers. Contact SafeSplash Swim School to schedule swim lessons at www.Safesplash.com or call 512-879-4300. Small group swim sessions correspond with our summer camp’s 2-week schedule.
